During March 26th to 29th, La Marzocco China participated in HOTELEX Shanghai 2018 with two adjacent booths, one for La Marzocco covered 49㎡ and one for Modbar covered 10㎡. HOTELEX is a series of leading hospitality equipment, supplies and fine food trade fairs China, held in the cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu and Guangzhou. HOTELEX Shanghai covers the entire hospitality and catering value chain from Catering Equipment Supply, Tableware,to Food and Beverage, Bakery & Ice Cream, Coffee & Tea, Wine & Spirits, and more, and it also attracts some 2,352 exhibitors, 143,500 visitors.
Located in exhibition hall E6 and D62 stand, La Marzocco China showcased the eye-catching flagship LEVA X and LEVA S, the perfectionist’s STRADA AV ABR, the re-imaged classic LINEA PB ABR, the home experts GS3 and LINEA MINI, and the futuristic MODBAR espresso, steam and pour over system. During the expo, our team members were providing professional machine consultancy to desired visitors. We also collaborated with five renowned Chinese specialty cafes (Seesaw, Little Bean, Lit Espresso, Cafe del Volcan, and Fumi) and an outstanding Australian cafe and roaster, Dukes Coffee, to demonstrate the incredible outcome when you combine La Marzocco Machines with speciality coffee industry. To add more fun, OATLY milk was served as a next generation milk substitute, and we had also invited a local craft beer company Boxing Cat Brewery to provide beer and joy.
A great success was achieved. During this four day expo, we attracted around 3,500 visitors per day and served approximately 3,000 cups of coffee per day on our stand. Positive comments were received on our machine consultancy service and our partners’ coffee products.
In addition to the expo, we also held an after-party event on the night of 28th. In cooperation with 45 Degrees, Cafe del Volcan and OATLY, an ultimate party “Triathlon Latte Art Throwdown” was held. 12 competitors tried to pour latte art using LEVA X after drinking a cup of beer, and about 200 crowds witnessed such magnificent moment.
Overall, our stand during HOTELEX Shanghai 2018 and our after party for the night had achieved great success, and we are looking forward to furthering our existence in the Chinese market.
